When Paul Gauguin escaped from France in search of a paradise in French Polynesia, he surely came across the vanilla plant, a species similar to an orchid with its long seed pods. This plant, dark, sticky, and delicately scented, has its roots in Central America and is a member of the orchid family. In Mexico, vanilla was a popular aphrodisiac, and in Peru and Ecuador, women used it as a balm, applying it under the arm. Among the many varieties of vanilla, Vanilla Tahitensis is the most prized. When we decided to create a unique and contemporary vanilla fragrance, there was no other choice. It is a unique species in botanical terms. The fruit ripens naturally on the plant, developing its warm, sweet, and exotic notes without human intervention. We use an innovative and modern process known as supercritical CO2 to ensure maximum purity and preserve all aromatic nuances. Our Vanille de Tahiti is an ode to exoticism, to the restlessness that makes us dream of paradisiacal places. It is a powerful and intoxicating fragrance, with creamy and subtly sweet notes, enriched with floral touches of Ylang Ylang and Champaca, accents of amber and musk, and a sandalwood base.
