Guilin, now a growing metropolis in southern China, was once dominated solely by its impressive granite peaks. 2,500 years ago, Osmanthus was already cultivated in this place. Its aroma still floats in the valley, like a bamboo raft smoothly gliding down the Li River. We have selected the most delicate and fragrant of the many varieties of this small evergreen tree, similar to the olive. Absolue d'Osmanthe is our tribute to the millenary Chinese culture. In spring and autumn, the Li River valley fills with white, red, and orange flowers, as well as dark red fruits, similar to olives. The formula, wrapped in a delicate touch of peach, evokes the dream of the ancient East, reinterpreted with a modern touch. Around the Osmanthus flowers, Jasmine Sambac, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tolu Balsam, and Labdanum intertwine, creating an enigma for the senses: is there something eternal in this fragrance? It is a mystery that invites contemplation of the ethereal in beauty and history, capturing the essence of a past imbued with perfumes in a contemporary context.
