The odyssey began in Marrakech, one of my favorite cities, which I had the pleasure of visiting at 28 and then again at 39. Each visit gave me the opportunity to return loaded with a collection of exquisite treasures: aromatic oils, scented stones, perfumery resins, exquisite carpets, ornate swords, and other objects that some might consider superfluous, but which were essential to me. On my last journey, I returned with an abundance of bottles emitting intoxicating fragrances, among which was a deliciously apocryphal oud oil. While I do not usually follow fashions, and oud was booming at that time, this specimen stood out singularly. So, once back home, I decided to undertake the task of creating my own essence inspired by that false Moroccan oud. Thus arose an oriental, opulent, sweet substance, wrapped in wood and smoky, which I named 'My Oud'.
