Vétiver Extraordinaire is a masterpiece by Dominique Ropion, considered by many as one of the purest, most powerful, and elegant interpretations of vetiver in contemporary perfumery. Unlike the drier or earthier versions of classic vetiver, here the central note is enhanced with a modern and vibrant structure, highlighting its green, woody, and almost mineral facet. From the opening, an explosion of bitter citrus such as bergamot and bitter orange adds brightness. As it settles, the Haitian vetiver — used in an exceptionally high concentration — emerges with power and clarity, accompanied by pine, sandalwood, and cedar, which provide depth, resin, and warmth.
